Preparation - The key to unlocking Opportunities.

Many wake up every morning, with no priority in mind. They rush into situations without plans and preparations. They don't see life really as a big deal for which they should adequately prepare for.

They take preparation as worry and as a result believe as life unfolds, it would figure out itself.

Paradoxically, life is all about preparation. Successful people always prepare for whatever venture they embark on.

One of America's foremost President, Abraham Lincoln, said, "If I had eight hours to chop down a tree,  I'd spend six hours sharpening my axe"

Why Many Skip Preparation

Many youngsters see preparation as time consuming and as no progress at all. Unlike Abraham Lincoln, We'd begin cutting down the tree right away. Sharpening the axe for six good hours might seem a waste of precious time.

But the repercussion would be discouragement along the way; frustration and exhaustion few hours into cutting down the tree.

What many call Preparation

Many people think preparation  means putting in your best effort few hours or days before an important project or assignment or responsibility. Others see preparation as a duty to engage in on order to meet up with a deadline.

Preparation actually cuts across every facet of life. From career to marriage to family to finance - every area of life. Whatever important activity you engage in today is a positive step in preparation for future related activities.

What Should you Prepare for?

The secret code for this is 'Prepare for Tomorrow'

Everything that characterises your tomorrow ought to be prepared for.

Preparations range from short term to long term. Some sort of preparations are peculiar, others are general.

Reading for instance is a form of general preparation. It sharpens your comprehension, it widens you mental horizon, it informs you on the particular topic you're reading about.  All of these is to prepare you for something deeper, bigger and richer.

Every brilliant idea you conceive is a function of what you've seen someone do, what you've read or heard someone say. The interconnection of these knowledge might also be a product of your brilliant idea. This is what creativity is all about.

No form of preparation is a waste of time. Even situations you claim met you unawares and were not prepared for, to which you excellently reacted to, you had directly or  indirectly prepared for such situation at a time in the past. Every positive form of preparation  would always be useful for now or tomorrow.

* Do you have presentations to make tomorrow? make it your best.

* Do you have a lecture to attend tomorrow? take few minutes to revise the previous note.

* Do you have a test next week? begin preparation in earnest.

*Are you attending an important seminar next month? Prepare to contribute or benefit profitably from it.

*Are you expecting an outstanding result at the end of the semester? Prepare by taking your lectures and assignments seriously.

Preparation is Wisdom
Preparation takes away panic. It gives you foresight and makes you ready for what's coming.

So, What's coming Tomorrow?

Grooming yourself to face difficulties and challenges head-on  with courage and boldness will not only prepare you for the challenges you'd face now but also those that would come tomorrow.

Tomorrow, you'd be meeting new people and transforming lives. The development of your ability to interact with others humorously, courteously and cheerfully will not only help you now but your relationship with others tomorrow.

Many people don't think they need to prepare for marriage.

Ability to cook delicious meals, both local and continental, will not only stop you from starving now, but would help you win the heart of your future spouse.

Tomorrow, you'd get married. You'd have a family. You need to prepare yourself now. You need to develop yourself and begin to acquire knowledge on how you'd run your family in order not to run it haphazardly.

Giving your best to your studies at a college or university will not only earn you a good certificate  but also prepare you for a vocation or career in the future in order to have a self sufficient independent life.

It appears the most important and urgent event you should be prepared for is the rapture. It's deadline is any moment from now and It's repercussion is disastrous. You can begin preparation from there and then move unto the next and next.

What Next?

In summary, you need to prepare for tomorrow.  Opportunities abound. It takes preparation to maximize whatever opportunity that is available us. The secret of a significant life lies in preparation.

Mediocrity is the reward for those who refuse to prepare for the future. However, to have a more rewarding and full filled future you have to begin preparations now.

Lets get started: The Purpose of this blog

Let's be frank, I've known about blogging a long time ago. Around 2012, I'd been very passionate about owning a blog or a website. I posted my first article September 30, 2016. Why such big gap between when I had the idea of owning a blog and when I actually started blogging? Not just blogging; I've also experienced  this kind of scenario in other areas of my life. I've taken time to reflect about this and below are the few reasons I was able to map out. Connecting With  Others As a result of my upbringing, I've learnt to do things on my own. Although I've built a life of confidence and grit in what I do, ( at least to some extent ), I've come to discover that productive  team work is inevitable. This has to do with connecting with the right set of people. As regards owning a blog, I remember spending all night trying to create one. I eventually became frustrated because I just didn't understand how to go about it. I recall thinking perhaps I h

The Slow Forward Match to Greatness

We all have goals that we’d like to reach. And, if we had the choice, we would prefer to reach them sooner rather than later. We want to get results now. We want to make plans, pursue them and achieve immediate results. My experience teaching younger children has taught me some life lessons. First, the power of patience. Second, the power of repetition. Third, the power of learning by portion. Esther is a little girl I teach. She's active and ready to learn but easily distracted. She was yet to master the use of letters to form words. Words that rhyme. My goal for her was to make her master two-lettered words in one week, three-lettered words in the second week, four-lettered words in the third week. All in three weeks. By the fourth week, she would begin to read texts written from two letters to four letters. I set these goals in high spirits. I thought within myself:  If I can achieve this - I'll count myself an effective teacher, besides her parents would be impressed the

What Kind of Life Are You Living: Significant or Insignificant?

Life is all about choices. You live out what you choose - whether consciously or unconsciously . Right now, you are either living a life that is significant in your community or you're kind of lost in the crowd. If you are unsure of where you belong, don't worry, we are here for you. Choosing to live a significant life begins with a sombre reflection and realization. It also goes along with the willingness to pay a price. What Does it Mean to Live a Significant Life? Living a significant life is living a life of impact. A life that touches someone, meets the need of others; an indispensable life. You could be popular and still be miserable. You could have a large number of friends on social media and still be lonely. A significant life is an active life; a well that many can draw from. Pouring out yourself in this regard is very important. Anything significant must be useful, resourceful, indispensable. If it doesn't meet a need, then we can dispose it. When you live fo
